We've successfully cleaned our inbox and recruited the new admins, so from today the group is open for submissions again. Make sure to read our rules and submission guidelines to make the submission process easier and quicker. The limit is set at two submissions per week, which might be elevated if we can handle that amount.

Secondly, you may have noticed that our Super Group expired. We would like to attempt to gather funds to upgrade the group again but the cost is 4796
, which is quite a lot to gather. We'd like to do something to raise the funds and are brainstorming what we can do to earn them.
To better decide what we'll do, it would be useful to know the answers to the following questions:
Would you be willing to donate some points for that? Would you be interested in commissions where the funds go to the group? Are there any other rewards you'd be interested in for donating?
Thank you for your patience during our closure, the group should run normally again from now on!

With our new admins, we're once again slowly getting ahead of our submission backlog, and to get the group a little more active, it sounded like a fun idea to do a little character feature!
Comment below with an OC of yours, and tell us a little about them! In a few weeks, we'll randomly pick one OC to put in the spotlight, together with some extra commentary from us. This means many people will see and possibly comment their thoughts on your OC, so be sure to enter someone you'd love to take the spotlight!

General updates
The group has been overflowing a little bit due to us being a little understaffed at the moment. We made several choices to better help us mitigate submissions and keep the backlog small. Changes are the following:
► We went back to letting members submit to the folder of their choice. The number of wrongful submissions weren't worth the sorting required after the submission was complete.
► Submissions made to wrong folders will be accepted and manually moved by staff. Please still make an effort to submit correctly, as this saves us time!

Expired submissions, new submission process
We just bridged the summer vacation period, and it didn't go exactly the best way. Admins have been very busy, and I myself have been studying so many of us had little time to spend on the group. As a result, many submissions are backtracked and at risk of expiring, or have already expired. If your piece expired without any reason stated why, feel free to resubmit it!
To better deal with the growth of the group and to avoid some of the declines we have to make, we will be trying out a new submission system:

I'm excited to announce that with the help of our new admins, we cleared through the outstanding submissions in no time and we are ready to open again! Please make sure to read the updated folder guidelines on our frontpage before making any submissions.
Also note that we retired the Other People's OCs folder; anything that went to that folder in the past now goes to the regular folders instead!
Secondly, we selected a couple of new contributors already to help us clear the submissions faster. These aren't the final choice for admins, so if your comment is still featured in this journal's

Congrats on your triumphant return! I know you guys put in a ton of work, and seeing you up and running is like the return of a friend. 
Regarding fundraising, you guys should totally put up one of those donation widgets on the main group page. For my part, anytime I win points from contests, receive them for commissions and whatnot, I put them back into the community, by funding things just like this. I'm sure I'm not alone.
On the flip-side, I'm not so into paying for commissions - probably because, as an artist myself, I can typically make a decently workable image of what I want on my own - often closer to what I had in mind than if I commissioned someone else. Then again, I've seen people's galleries (more on other sites than on dA, but a few here as well) that contain commisisions almost exclusively- so perhaps that's just my opinion.
Either way: welcome back! I'm looking forward to the new crop of OC submissions from my fellow members.
